  The Alameda Corridor-East Construction Authority is seeking to fill the position:  
 


DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Salary Range: $129,225 - $193,876 + competitive benefits including CalPERS.

Position Description: Reports to the CEO; lead role in intergovernmental relations, community relations and funding strategy for the agency.

Primary duties include:

            Develop strategy for funding the overall ACE program;
            ▪ Analyze, track and report on on-going legislation and regulations;
            ▪ Manage applications and all other actions necessary to seek funding from federal, state and local programs;
            ▪ Supervise and manage federal and state advocacy consultants;
            ▪ Manage community relations programs;
            ▪ Maintain consensus with legislators, cities, local agencies and businesses for support of the ACE Program;
            ▪ Manage environmental clearance and mitigation monitoring program;
            ▪ Manage labor compliance program;
            ▪ Manage disadvantaged business outreach program;
            Represents the Authority in Sacramento, Washington and local meetings;
            Prepare reports, memos and agenda material.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public administration, or related fields; minimum of nine years of progressively responsible experience in government relations, with transportation emphasis a major plus. Demonstrated skills in oral and written communications and working with consultants.
