IFB NO. 16-04 – Turnbull Canyon Road Grade Separation Project
The San Gabriel Council of Governments (SGVCOG) is accepting bids for a proposed grade separation located on Turnbull Canyon Road in the City of Industry and Unincorporated Los Angeles County within the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Los Angeles Subdivision at milepost 17.18. The grade separation is between Malbrook Drive to the South and Don Julian Road to the North. Turnbull Canyon Road will be elevated above the UPRR Railroad and San Jose Creek. The project work includes the construction of typical street features such as curb, gutter, sidewalk, roadway structural sections, landscape and irrigation, and site and private property improvements; bridge construction including demolition of the bridge over San Jose Creek, construction of CIDH piles, abutments, abutment caps, columns, column bent, pedestrian steel bridge, and earth retaining structures; construction of storm drain improvements, modifications, and relocations; grading and preparing the site within the City and County right-of-way, drainage facilities, sewer and water relocations, relocation of utilities; installation of street, bridge, and parking lot lighting, signing and striping, water main, and protection, modification, and/or relocation of existing dry and wet utilities. Temporary work consists of shoring, excavation support systems, temporary utilities, and traffic control.
Be advised that SGVCOG has established an SBE goal of 12% for this project.
The Turnbull Canyon Road Grade Separation Project IFB 16-04 is available on the PlanetBids website as of September 7, 2023. Please register your firm with PlanetBids (planetbids.com), as all bid information, including the IFB, Questions and answers, and all addenda and/or updates, will be posted on PlanetBids.
Key dates for this solicitation:
- Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting is on September 21, 2023, at 10 a.m. and will be conducted at SGVCOG offices located at 1333 Mayflower Ave., Suite #360, Monrovia, CA 91016.
- Deadline for submission of questions via PlanetBids is September 28, 2023.
- Bid due date is October 12, 2023, at 10 a.m. Electronic submission only via PlanetBids.
- Project is anticipated to begin in early 2024.
